So happy to announce I made an extensive application to work with Judy Stakee who has helped to develop, sign, mentor artists such a Sheryl Crow, Katy Perry, Gavin DeGraw, Joy Williams. And was Senior Vice-President of Creative at Warner Chappell Music.
She just contacted me to inform me she selected me to be one of 20 women she'll be working with one-on-one during a song writing retreat for 5 days, with lots of song writing, a recording studio, vocal coach, and industry people up in Ben Lomond, CA.
I also submitted for the first time (in the application) 3 raw new songs I just wrote--and recorded backing myself at home with my piano in the last few months--for my new album. So to be selected with such a holistic vulnerability was huge.
